Spectrum Mining Consultants was founded in 2020 to provide expert geological and mining solutions to the Australian Mining and Quarrying Industries. Spectrum specialises in the full Life-of-Mine including Greenfield Exploration & Feasibility through to Mine Closure and Progressive Rehabilitation Design. Spectrum Mining Consultants operates under a philosophy of integration and deposit-driven decision making to provide cost-effective and efficient solutions to our clients.
Spectrum Mining Consultants is based in Adelaide, South Australia and has experience covering most mining districts of Australia and its nearest neighbours.

Rohan Gleeson
Principal Geologist
Rohan Gleeson is Principal Geologist of Spectrum Mining Consultants. He is a dual-qualified Geologist and Mining Engineer with expertise in mining, exploration and geotechnical engineering. Rohan has 11+ years' experience in the mining industry across Australia and South East Asia. Rohan is a member of the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, the Society of Economic Geologists and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Rohan has considerable experience taking projects from greenfields to mine startup and creates value through the integration of disparate disciplines
Szymon Kumela
Principal Engineer
Szymon Kumela is a dual qualified Mining Engineer and Geologist with expertise in both Production and Technical Engineering functions.
With a career spanning over 15 years, Szymon has experience with multiple commodities across Australia and PNG.
Szymon is a Registered Engineer in PNG, Member and Registered Practicing Geologist with the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, holds Statutory Certification in Mine Management in three Australian States and is a current member of the Australian Defence Force; actively serving as a Combat Engineer with 10/27 Royal South Australian Regiment.
Szymon excels at identifying opportunities presented by the orebody and implementing integrated solutions to crystalise additional profits.

Martin Johnston
Associate - Survey
Martin Johnston is CASA accredited drone operator with studies in Surveying and Logistics, is an affiliated member of AIMS (Australian Institute of Mine Surveyors) and Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, he has a wide range of experience in survey, exploration, rehabilitation and production (both surface and underground) from narrow vein mines to large scale projects including the Olympic Dam Expansion project, as well as land holder liaison and negotiations. Martin provided fuel and logistics as site/convoy manager for United States and allied forces during Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Slipper in Afghanistan before relocating back to Australia to begin working for the mineral exploration and State Government sectors.
